CollegeFashionista: What school do you attend and what are you studying?

Maya Jimenez: I go to Boston University and I’m studying Photojournalism.

CF: What is your role as an editorial intern and what is your favorite part of your job?

MJ: As the photo editor for CollegeFashionista, I have to go through several of our Style Gurus’s photos and make sure all the lighting and coloring is good as well as cropping, sizing, etc. My favorite part about editing photos is that I can actually put all of the Photoshop knowledge I’ve accumulated over the last three years to use!

CF: What are your favorite magazines?

MJ: My favorite magazines are Vogue (a.k.a. the bible), Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Spin and Interview.

CF: If you could use any store as your personal closet, which store would you choose?

MJ: For the summer season, I would definitely go with Nasty Gal. They have so many fun and flirty options for rooftop parties, brunch with friends, and a day at the office. For something a little more fall. I’d definitely go with asos. I’ve been on their website so much lately and I’ve developed somewhat of a crush for their clothing!
