CollegeFashionista: What school do you attend, and what are you studying?

Lizbeth Hernandez: I just graduated from Whittier College this past May and earned my degree in Visual and Business Studies. 

CF: What is your role as a social media intern, and what is your favorite part of your job?

LH: I handle both Facebook and Pinterest for CollegeFashionista. For Facebook I share our featured posts of the day. I come up with fashionable trivia questions every Monday and Friday, share some of our recent Pintersts uploads as well as promote different campaigns CF is in collaboration with. 

For Pinterest I pin a variety of photos that are consistent with our boards, which correlate with what CollegeFashionista is about. We have a variety of boards and fashion is always the main focus. For example our trending board is inspired by a variety of fashion editorials, CF posts and pieces on how to achieve the look/trend. To put it simply I constantly upload images that are representative of CollegeFashionista for readers to enjoy and be inspired by.  

My favorite part of my job is being able to share what CollegeFashionista is about through interesting and captivating photos, which I do through both Facebook and Pinterest. 

CF: If you could attend any city’s fashion week, which city would you choose?

LH: That’s a difficult question for me, because each city represents and evokes a different style, so I’d try to swindle my way and go to them all!

CF: Where are your favorite places to shop?

LH: My style is very eclectic and I’m the biggest bargain queen, so it all depends on sales. My usual stock up shops are Forever 21, H&M, Zara, Steve Madden, but I definitely love hitting Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Barney’s, and Saks on occasion. I live in Los Angeles, so there are so many great boutiques, vintage and thrifts stores to shop at all over Southern California and some favorite destinations are Orange County, Downtown LA, West LA and the Valley.
